in loving memory of a good man who would do anything for his family he was a good partner and a great dad he had two daughters who thought the world of him he also has four grandchildren which he never had the chance to meet but they will never forget him. Ray was born in Dundee he was the son of Joseph and Charlotte. He was a glaziers labourer for the earlier part of his life in his later life he took to written stories and short poems he was very much a family man he loved spending time with his kids most weekends we would go for hikes as he would call it what that meant was a walk around the loch the kids loved it playing in the sand. Ray unfortunely died at an early age as he was only 46 years old. He did with a sudden heart attack which shoked us all he is sadly missed but always loved and never forgoten.

You looked so very tired, and sank into a chair. I tried so hard to let you know, that I was there.

You sat there very quietly, then smiled, I think you knew...
in the stillness of that evening, I was very close to you.
The day is over... I smile and watch you yawning and say 'good-night, God bless, I'll see you in the morning.'
And when the time is right for you to cross the brief divide,
I'll fly across to greet you and we'll stand, side by side.
